Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred stated Thursday he’ll retire when his present time period ends in January 2029.
Talking at a spring coaching information convention, Manfred famous he shall be 70 years previous and would have been commissioner for 14 years when his time period ends on Jan. 25, 2029.
“You’ll be able to solely have a lot enjoyable,” Manfred stated.
Manfred, 65, succeeded Bud Selig in January 2015 and was given a five-year time period. House owners voted in November 2018 to supply Manfred a brand new deal by the 2024 season, then voted final July to approve his newest time period.
