Breslow pitched for Boston in 2006 and once more from 2012-15, spending a great portion of his 12-year MLB profession with the Purple Sox. He grew to become the Cubs’ assistant basic supervisor when president of baseball operations Theo Epstein left following the 2020 season. Breslow was Chicago’s senior vp of pitching over the previous few seasons.
