McALLEN, Texas (AP) — Texas police stated Thursday they’re investigating messages spray-painted on U.S. Rep. Monica De La Cruz’s workplace that condemn the Republican’s assist for Israel in the warfare with Hamas.
De La Cruz is a first-term congresswoman whose district is on the U.S.-Mexico border. Spokesperson Ryan Saylor stated the district workplace was vandalized twice this week with messages that included “Monica murders” and “Israel kills Jews too.”
Nearly all of each events have traditionally stood firmly on the aspect of Israel, though divisions have emerged within the Democratic Celebration concerning the U.S. response to the warfare. In a press release, De La Cruz stated the vandalism wouldn’t silence her assist for Israel.
The McAllen Police Division stated it was made conscious of the vandalism on Tuesday and that the investigation is ongoing.
