Fleetwood City have appointed former Oldham Athletic, Halifax City and Barrow supervisor Pete Wild as their head coach.

The 40-year-old has agreed a deal of undisclosed size with the League Two membership following Charlie Adam’s exit on the weekend.

Wild will take over on 27 December with present first-team coach Matt Lawlor in cost for the Boxing Day go to of Chesterfield.
