Britain’s Cameron Norrie beat Luca van Assche on the Moselle Open to succeed in his first ATP Tour quarter-final since April.
Norrie, who spent virtually three months out with a forearm damage, beat the Frenchman 6-3 3-6 6-1.
It’s the first time the 29-year-old has registered back-to-back wins on the primary ATP Tour since Wimbledon in July.
World quantity 57 Norrie has not gained an ATP title this season, having struggled for rhythm earlier than the damage that led to him pulling out of the Olympics and the US Open.
His final quarter-final displaying was on the Barcelona Open clay courts, the place he misplaced to Argentina’s Tomas Martin Etcheverry.
