The Garden Tennis Affiliation has eliminated one among its council members for an inappropriate social media submit concerning the Israel-Gaza battle.
Wasim Haq was appointed by the LTA and Soccer Affiliation (FA) councils to assist promote range and inclusion.
The now-deleted submit on X, previously Twitter, referenced Adolf Hitler and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The LTA board mentioned the submit on 11 November was “unacceptable”.
It added that the views expressed by Haq “on no account displays the LTA’s place or values”, and he can be “faraway from his position as an unbiased councillor with instant impact”.
Haq, who additionally serves on the board of England Golf, posted on X on Sunday that he wished to “apologise unreservedly to anybody that has felt offended”.
He added: “My tweet was instantly in relation to evaluating two people who in my eyes have prompted up to date and historic irreparable hurt to victimised communities on either side of this tragic battle.
