Irish Grinstead, a singer within the in style ’90s R&B group 702, has died at 43.

Her sister and fellow 702 group member, LeMisha Grinstead, shared the unhappy information with followers through an Instagram submit on Saturday.

‘It’s with nice disappointment that I’ve to let that my stunning sister and good friend has handed away this night. She has had a protracted battle and he or she is lastly at peace,’ she wrote beneath a photograph of the singer.

‘That lady was as shiny as the celebs! She was not solely stunning on the surface, but in addition inside. Sharing the stage together with her was a pleasure I’ll cherish for the remainder of my life!’

In December 2022 the lady group shared through Instagram that Irish can be taking a ‘medical go away of absence resulting from severe medical points’ forward of their upcoming performances. 

The singer’s twin sister, Orish Grinstead, handed away from kidney failure in 2008 on the age of 27. 

Grinstead was born on June 2, 1980. 

702 made their debut in 1996 with their album No Doubt.

The group was named after the world code of their hometown, Las Vegas. 

The group was initially comprised of the Grinstead sisters and Kameelah Williams.

Their single Steelo, that includes Missy Elliott, grew to become the theme music for Nickelodeon’s Cousin Skeeter.
