Eire staged a powerful second-half fightback to edge out Spain in a fiercely-contested encounter and declare the inaugural WXV3 title.
Tries from Grace Moore and Neve Jones, each from a rolling maul, meant the Irish got here again from 13-3 down on the break to win 15-13 in Dubai.
Claudia Pena scored an early strive for Spain, who may have gained the title themselves with a victory.
Either side went into the sport having gained their first two matches.
Eire’s win means they’ll now not be caught having taken 14 factors from three WXV video games, three greater than second-placed Fiji and 4 greater than Spain, who dropped to 3rd.
