Huddersfield Giants have signed hooker Thomas Deakin from Nationwide Rugby League membership Sydney Roosters on a two-year deal.
The Oldham-born 21-year-old has performed for the Roosters within the NSW Cup and for prior feeder membership North Sydney Bears, with two tries in 32 video games.
Deakin will substitute retiring hooker Nathan Peats on the Giants, competing with Adam Milner for a spot.
