Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid was ejected from his staff’s 111-106 win towards the San Antonio Spurs after confronting a referee.
Embiid was given a 3rd foul towards him by referee Jenna Schroeder when he charged Victor Wembanyama, knocking the Frenchman to the ground with two minutes and 59 seconds remaining of the primary half.
The 76ers participant argued the decision with Schroeder after which needed to be restrained from the official as he ripped off his protecting face masks and continued his protests, main to 2 technical fouls and his ejection from the match.
Earlier on, Schroeder’s determination to eject Philadelphia’s Andre Drummond for 2 technical fouls following a problem on Wembanyama had been overturned.
“It was a wild first half,” 76ers coach Nick Nurse stated.
Tyrese Maxey produced 32 factors, 10 rebounds and eight assists to encourage Philadelphia to victory, whereas Wembanyama managed 26 factors, 9 rebounds and eight blocked pictures.
Elsewhere, reigning NBA champions the Boston Celtics, who led by 15 factors at half-time, suffered a 108-104 defeat by the Orlando Magic.
Tristan da Silva scored a team-high 18 factors for Orlando towards a Celtics staff lacking Jayson Tatum, who was unwell.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander impressed as he scored 41 factors to assist Western Convention leaders Oklahoma Metropolis Thunder to a 123-105 win towards the Washington Wizards.
