The NFL stated it’s reviewing the newest sexual assault allegation made towards Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson.
A girl filed a civil lawsuit towards Watson in Houston, Texas on Monday in search of $1m (£764,000) in damages for an incident that allegedly occurred whereas the pair had been on a date in October 2020.
The NFL added that Watson is not going to be instantly suspended as there have been no felony prices introduced and its evaluation has simply begun.
The Browns say they’ll “respect the due course of “and “observe the NFL’s tips” on the matter.
In August 2022, Watson was suspended for 11 games with out pay and fined $5m following an investigation into a number of sexual misconduct allegations.
He was accused of sexual assault and inappropriate misconduct throughout therapeutic massage classes that passed off between March 2020 and March 2021.
Watson denied the allegations, and two grand juries dominated there was not sufficient proof to cost him. He later reached confidential settlements with 23 of the 24 ladies in the summertime of 2022.
The 28-year-old moved from the Houston Texans on a five-year deal value a then-NFL-record $230m (£174.4m) in March 2022.
He performed within the Browns’ season-opening defeat towards the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
