What’s going on between Workforce USA star Simone Biles and former Olympic gymnast Mckayla Skinner?

On Tuesday afternoon, after Workforce USA girls’s gymnastics took staff gold, the social media posts started to reach in celebration of their achievement collectively.

Biles, final to put up, made an intentional dig at Skinner together with her caption through Instagram, “lack of expertise, lazy, olympic champions.”

The subsequent day after that put up was made, the drama between the 2 unfold. Skinner blocked Biles on Instagram. Biles tweeted in regards to the event and Olympic teammate, Jordan Chiles, posted on her Instagram story. 

The timeline of this goes means again in an interview with Skinner when she appeared in a now-deleted YouTube video that has now gone viral, the place she was criticizing the staff and the coaches of Workforce USA. Skinner went to say, “In addition to Simone [Biles], I really feel just like the expertise and the depth simply is not what it was. I imply, clearly, plenty of women do not work as laborious. The ladies simply do not have the work ethic. 

After deleting the video off Youtube, Skinner made an announcement on social media apologizing. 

“I wish to formally apologize to Workforce USA and to our gymnastic group for my feedback throughout my latest YouTube episodes of the gymnastic Olympic trails. It was not my intention to offend or disrespect any of the athletes or to remove from their laborious work. Your laborious work and dedication has paid off and I congratulate every considered one of you,” Skinner mentioned. 

Skinner was part of the gymnastics squad with Biles that went to compete within the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. Biles dropped out of the competitors after getting the “twisties” throughout her vault. Skinner retired from gymnastics after Tokyo and didn’t participate within the Olympic trials for the 2024 video games.
