Captain Paul Stirling says Eire “weren’t fairly as much as the problem” as India stormed to victory of their Twenty20 World Cup opener.

India won by a commanding eight wickets as they restricted Eire to simply 96 runs in New York.

Stirling admits the heavy loss of their opener was “a troublesome one” as India mastered the circumstances of the unpredictable non permanent pitch on the Eisenhower Stadium.
