Report: MLB plans to address players’ uniform complaints per union memo-ZoomTech News


Main League Baseball plans to introduce modifications to the oft-criticized new Nike uniforms this season, ESPN reported.

In line with ESPN, a memo despatched out by the MLB Gamers’ Affiliation on Sunday mentioned that Nike — not Fanatics, which manufactures the uniforms — was accountable for the uniform points that induced criticism from each followers and gamers when the jerseys had been rolled out initially of spring coaching.

The fixes that MLB reportedly plans to make to the uniforms embody a return to bigger identify lettering on the backs of jerseys, fixing mismatched shades of grey on highway jerseys and pants, and reverting to a “increased high quality zipper” on the pants.

The memo reportedly went so far as praising Fanatics for the way it has listened to participant and fan suggestions whereas shading Nike for not taking an identical method. 

Nike has been MLB’s official uniform provider since 2019.
